The world is not prepared for the consequences of what Trump and his puppet master, Netenyahu, have wrought.
I am not surprised by Trump's obliviousness of the consequences. His poor judgement is well known, documented and adjudicated (e. g., multiple bankruptcies, divorces, lawsuits, convictions and fines).
Nor am I surprised by Netenyahu.
After all, his country has masterfully exploited our laws and regulations to the point that, through its America champions, it can lawfully remove any elected official who criticizes Israel or who might want to reduce the flow of our USD's -- whether in cash and kind -- that it receives.
What astounds me is the failure of Trump's advisors, especially the SecDef and SecState. These two organizations have studied copiously for years an array of scenarios pertaining the Straits of Hormutz.
But, to my knowledge, no one among his advisors addressed the array of possible consequences.
Books galore will be written about this colossal mistake. None will be kind to either protagonist.
One (Trump) has already been convicted for fraud and investigated (partially) for instigating the overthrow of the US government; the other (his puppet master) is subject to an international arrest warrant for perpetuating genocide.
Many thanks for your thoughtful description of how the basic foundations for the WEF's & WHO's Great Reset are being laid out before our very eyes ... 🎯🎯🎯 👍👍👍
This "step" is need, because the clot-jabs and wars everywhere still do not show the desired quantitative results in the chosen time-frame; mass-famine is cheaper and definitively works !!!
Here on SS, I follow quite a few writers who touch the topic currently unfolding in the Persian Gulf, but virtually none of them calls it as I mentioned above ... 🤔🤔🤔
The Madministration is not unaware of what will flow from their blockage of Hormuz.
No need to scratch our heads wondering why they didn't see it and avoid it; they saw it and welcomed it, the lack of speaking up and acknowledging consequences is simply to avoid a public outcry before irreversible Depopulation is obvious even to the Normies and Dormies.
It's Puppets All The Way Down; the Golden Golem is simply playing his part for the Ancient Conspiracy; Famine, Pestilence, War and Death have always been their Culling Cards.
“Meddlers, hand-wringers, and world-improvers often wonder what causes poverty. That’s the wrong question. Poverty is the default condition in a state of nature. The real riddle is what produces wealth.” - love that framing, great read thanks again JD.
My *hope* is that some of the worst possibilities can be avoided through some mature leadership in the most-affected regions, but we won’t know either the specifics or their results for a couple of months yet
In the US, all eyes are on the price of gasoline and oil futures markets.
We’re missing the point.
Urea, Sulphur, Helium - critical supplies for agriculture, most industrial processes, and almost all technology production - are also heavily constrained, and the impacts of those shortages will not be felt in full for some months yet (increased costs, lower outputs, regional famine, global inflation)
The wave is still a ways offshore, but it’s certainly coming
There is still *some* time to mitigate the worst of its impacts, but that window is narrowing by the day
Perhaps this event is the signal of the end of the Post WW 11(!) order and the return of Great Powers diplomacy. What Trump is doing looks like knocking China down to its old role as a relatively minor player and tweaking Europe. He's following the Teddy Roosevelt rule about having a big stick.
I must say it is no different then it has always been. Complaining or winning won't change the usual outcome. Is there something different in what is happening now?...
Here in a land downunder, I am looking with horror at what is unfolding. Governments are assuring the hoi polloi that "All is well, we've got this, relax, don't worry..!"
And for me, the more interesting question is why? What is or was the motivation?
We could ponder this for decades and doubtless will. For now, I am turning to more practical activities. Food. potable water and energy. Next on the list, 50 acres of fertile land, a water wheel and lots of lead.
Thanks once again for another thoughtful piece JD.
PS: I was in Phuket Thailand a week before the boxing day Tsunami in a beach front hotel and contemplated staying for the Christmas break. Fortunately, my schedule took precedence and I carried on with my travels.
Not one of the Thais I met there or knew survived.
I believe we are about to experience a Warren Buffet, when the tides out you can see who has been swimming naked moment.
You’re forgetting to include the IAEA and US reserves. The overall effect is probably closer to the loss of 1/2 Mb/d. But that will accelerate over next few months, and not every country has access to reserves.
It is so interesting that the current hand wringers claiming world apocalypse and depression from Hormuz being “closed” are the EXACT same hand wringers who said unless the fossil fuel spigot called Hormuz wasn’t closed there would be world apocalypse and depression from climate change. OMG. Which is it?
Excellent SitRep (Situation Report).

Therefore, I just keep asking myself: WHY !?!?!?
Who are the culprits at the center of all this? El Trumpo and bibi. Two brain dead and highly demonic forces.
Slop

A Great Reset by any other name would be just as devastating
WEF is a Suicide Pact for the West on behalf of China.
Run by The City of London.
World War Greed is intended to be their yugest genocide yet.
All around me are oblivious
Kinda like Noah building the ark

I think you’re broadly correct

Thanks for the thoughts, which are valid. This was a theory I pursued in my previous essay: https://www.pretiuminsights.com/p/the-energy-war
I think that’s what Trump may have been *attempting* - a new version of the Monroe Doctrine, if you will
What he’s actually *accomplished* so far is most of the world looking at China as the “adult superpower in the room”
Geopolitically, Militarily, Economically, Diplomatically, both Russia and the US have shown their weaknesses and the world has taken notice
China may win this war without ever having to fire a shot
I must say it is no different then it has always been. Complaining or winning won't change the usual outcome. Is there something different in what is happening now?...

I don't know. You'd have to ask someone who said that. Regarding the climate hoax, I've always said the opposite: https://www.pretiuminsights.com/p/hot-air
