Life is saturated in ambiguity and dominated by randomness. One must develop the mental, physical, and moral fortitude to face a very uncertain world. Then, when randomness strikes, it's not about the event ("How could that happen!"), but how one handled it. I have not read this book, but based on your assessment, it seems to hit those marks. Go get 'em!
Good review, have a copy on the way, have four young people that will be getting a copy as soon I get through reading mine.
That Heinlein quote has been on my work shop wall for 20 plus years.
This would take courage. It probably is not for everyone, but this sounds Like it would be a ready guide for those with the mind set to go this route.
Excellent review. At north of 70, it makes me want to read it to see what I'm missing. Thanks!!
You are too kind. Thank you.
