Great phrase: "Staring at the camera, Nixon avoided the mirror."
More: I've often wondered why Nixon, instead of dis-engaging the dollar from gold, simply didn't create two dollars: a Trade dollar (widely circulated; not backed by gold; the "full faith" currency what we have now) and a Golden Dollar (lightly circulated; backed by gold the value of which would be arbitrarily set high but not redeemable for gold and only for use in specified transactions).
Have been a dedicated follower of his since the early 90s…he has a hacienda in Argentina, a very Galt’s Gulch kind of place but buying there where he has his place is muy expensivo and way out of my range but I have certainly fantasized about it…he is my favorite contrarian and that is how I stumbled on to him in the first place…
I receive his (and his associate's) very stylish and clear written emails too ...
Should be regular reading material in ALL schools (but isn't, what a coincidence 🤣🤣🤣) to better know the intricacies of modern ultra-financialized "pseudo-economies" that currently mostly are shifting to resemble humungous lemon-presses to benefit the chosen few who know where the screws and levers are positioned.
Neither investors nor speculators (the investors with highly sensitive olfactory organs for upwind turbo-financial-returns !!!) would be alive without all kinds of producers, small or huge.
Even most current politicians fall into this category; their "produce" being the speculator's windfalls.
A prolific cooperation between the two is called insider-trading and the crème de la crème acts as a personal union of the two. A bullet in their heads would be a waste of resources: Florida sweet-water crocs would be happy to help ... 🤣🤣🤣
A paradigm-shift is needed: All economists in government tenure MUST have a natural-born speculator at their side and no decision ever made without his advice; well paid of course !!!
