I have visited S.F. many times since I don't live too far from it. Yes, It has changed a lot and not for the better. However, I understand from a friend of mine who owns an apt. there things are getting better. Lot's hope it does. I'm planning a trip there next year if no pandemic.

That’s encouraging. It is a wonderful city, and has meant as much to me as any. I hope it revives.
Just don't drive and park your car anywhere in SF. The chances of it getting broken in is not low
