>>Companies should be able to fire employees for whatever reasons they want. If that’s what Disney did, it has nothing to do with the First Amendment.<<

and

>>The U.S. government has no authority to prohibit or influence what anyone says, nor to urge employers to ensure no one says it. Even without overt force, government “encouragement” is implicit coercion.<<

As a 1st Amendment fundamentalist, I absolutely agree. Thank you.

Knowing to which the degree the US-public owns multiple, even fully automatic firearms, let us look forward to a peaceful secession-time !!! 🤞🤞🤞

Excellent explanation and great prose (e. g., “the fallen tree fertilizes the forest.”).

Compounding the tragedy of this murder is the Trump Administration using it as justification to squelch free speech including Kimmel’s oft odious comments.

However, I disagree that our nation is composed of two bands of people with irreconcilable views.

There is indeed divisiveness but it is more akin to the rigid and the accommodating both of which are mostly fluid.

"A run-of-the-mill conservative who made his name debating college kids… like a less abrasive Ben Shapiro."

And you lost me right there.

My point is that's not what he was. Is your point that that is who he was?
