Each Spring, an hour is stolen. The last few years, we've been threatened with not getting it back. How'd we get here, and where are we going? When we arrive, will we know what time it really is?
Excellent. If we are slaves to the clock, then we are also slaves to the calendar. That leads to being more of a slave later in life watching the days, weeks, months and years tick by hoping to be alive to do it all over again year after year.
The twice a year clock change needs to go. Time is not altered, only the perception of it and it is silly, stupid and undesirable.
I love this. I thought I was like one of three people in the world who saw DST for what it is -- a delusion. Yet people, ππππππππππ Americans it seems to me, love delusion.
Because I'm a little crazy, I've spent part of yesterday and today on "X" trying to impart to people that DST is a delusion, that Standard time (as flawed as it is) is real time. The responses are truly concerning.
As for this from the piece, I'm not sure it applies today: "...the average person knew his shadow was too long." I seriously do not know how many people know what this actually means. "My shadow is too long for it to be the time "they're" telling me it is. What?"
And this line sums up Americans perfectly: "We live in a world thatβs filled with phoniness to indulge our fantasies." And delusions.
When it is My "time" to leave this earth, no clock will stop it. Another point-how corporations influence politicians. That part has not changed, even to this day.

Muslims, with their five daily prayers, always have the correct time, wherever they are ...
